I recommend Starting in Bastok because it is the best place to earn loads of gil and to train up. It also is good for missions
and quests. If you want to have a really strong summon when your a summoner (a advanced job) it is good to start of in Bastok
because you can do some quests while you level up so you get more fame to get the really strong summon: Titian.
Heres what different races are good at.
Hume: Equal at everything. (is o.k. at warrior, is o.k. at white mage, is o.k. at ninja etc.) Doens't have a best job.
Elvaan: Good at ranged weaponary and is good at melee attacks but is bad at magic. best job is Ranger.
Tarutaru: Very good at magic. LOADS of MP but very low hp.
extremely rubbish at melee. DEF is bad aswell. Best job is White mage or Black mage.
Galka: Very good at melee and extremely rubbish at magic. Hardly any MP but high HP. Best job Monk.
Mithra: Alot of people use mithra as white mage. Slightly more HP than MP. Good at melee. Best job is Theif.
